Father's Day Dining on Cape Cod -- and a Romantic Getaway, Too!

Now that Dad has his Gift Certificate deal in hand (see previous Blog or below for details), has been welcomed, and is enjoying his stay, he will need to know about restaurants in the area. Spring into Golf on Cape Cod at Two Courses Close to the Whalewalk Inn & Spa

In the previous blog I mentioned that April is Golf Month on Cape Cod. I realize the weather is not conducive right now to be thinking of golf, but Spring will be here before you know it. Get away from the snow blower, go to your basement, get out those golf clubs, and shine them up for Spring golf on Cape Cod. Carnival Week in Provincetown-- A Jungle Fantasy Comes to Cape Cod

One of our fun days out is the Carnival Parade in Provincetown. This year's theme is "Jungle Fantasy," so don your best Tarzan and Jane costume and join in the fun. There is a lot of laughter, singing, dancing, candy tossing, and great costuming. The parade begins promptly at 3:00 PM on August 19th at the beginning of Commercial Street. The festivities are offered for a diverse population, including children, so it is done with a lot of fun and in good taste.

After the parade it is off to Wellfleet for some great 'chowdah' and oysters at the Bookstore, steamed clams and boiled lobster at Pearl, and sushi at Mac's Shack -- maybe not in that order, but a progressive dinner is always a fun thing to do. All these restaurants have outdoor seating and view of Cape Cod Bay -- the best sunsets in the world are right over the Bay.

The weather on Cape Cod has been absolutely fantastic. It is an amazing summer. You really should come down and take advantage of it. Put your bikes on the bike rack and come on over. Today went to Brewster and saw all the cyclists as we had lunch at El Guapo's, a great little Mexican restaurant right off the bike path. Food was good, the weather just right, and the scenery was the woodsier side of Cape Cod.
