Happenings on Cape Cod-Craft Shows, Guided Museum Tours
Here are some events for those visiting the Cape this week -- starting September 10th:
Wednesday the 10th -- Historic Walking tour of the Eastham Historic District. Meet at the Schoolhouse Museum, Route 6 at 9:45 am. The cost is $8.
Thursday the 11th -- Art talk by Elizabeth Ives Hunter about "Aiden Lassell Ripley: A Retrospective" at 2:30 pm at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Route 6A, Dennis, admission by donation.
Friday the 12th -- French Cable Station guided tours from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, at 41 South Orleans Road (Route 28), Orleans. History and equipment of telegraph cable from France to the US. Available through Sunday.
Friday the 12th -- Don Wilding, "The Legacy of Henry Beston and the Outermost House," 7:30 pm at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History, 869 Route 6A, Brewster
Saturday the 13th -- Arts and crafts show at the Harwich Cranberry Festival, 9:30 am to 8:00 pm, Harwich High School, Oak Street. Over 250 American made crafts. $7 admission.
Saturday the 13th -- Antiques auction and book signing at Chatham Historical Society, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Chatham Elementary School, Depot Road, $6. Gerry Nickerson will be signing "Chatham's Sea Captains."
Saturday the 13th -- Nature walk at Hawksnest Woods, 10:00 am, sponsored by Harwich Conservation Trust. Call 508-432-3997 for details.
Sunday the 14th -- another day for the Harwich arts and crafts show. Also the Chatham Historical Society antiques auction continues.
Sunday the 14th -- Nauset Lighthouse tour at Nauset Light, Eastham, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, sponsored by the Nauset Light Preservation Society. Call 508-240-2612 for details.
