Why Are You Not at the Whalewalk Inn?

WOW! the weather has been amazing. We have had some wonderfully sunny days -- and even the couple of cloudy ones were fine for seeing the sights. The beaches are beckoning, Lighthouses are offering tours, and lecture series are underway. A couple of events are listed below.

Tomorrow, July 9th, for all you nautical and lighthouse enthusiasts, Dale Donovan will be speaking in Wellfleet and its quest for effective coastal navigation in the 18th and 19th centuries. It will be at 8:00 PM at the Wellfleet Public Library.

A Nauset Lighthouse Tour in Eastham is offered on the 9th from 4:30 - 7:30 PM. Call 508-240-2612 for details.

Bayside Talks Lecture series "Crash: A Tale of Two Species," at the Wellfleet Wildlife Sanctuary at 7:30 PM. Call 508-349-2615 for details.

July 10th is a very busy day out and about. Begin your day at the Eastham Painters Guild art show and sale from 9AM to 5:30 PM, route 6 Eastham.

Craft Fair at the Village Crafters of Cape Cod, 10 am to 4 PM, West Yarmouth Library, Route 28.

The French Cable Station guided tours 1 - 4 PM at 41 South Orleans Road (Route 28). Learn of the history and equipment of telegraph cable from France to the US. Tours through Sunday the 13th.

Visit Province Lands Visitor Center and examine Cape Cod Seashore through the eyes of scientists "The Science Behind the Scenery," at 2 PM.

All said and done, you can spend your day walking the Atlantic side or enjoying all that Cape Cod Bay has to offer -- especially at low tide. The wildlife is amazing -- you just need to remember to come back to shore before the tide.
