Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends who have stayed at The Whalewalk Inn and Spa. Hope your day is as beautiful as ours is on the Cape. The weather is truly a Cape golf day. The turkey is smoking and the sides are ready to roast in the oven. There are potatoes piperade, roasted fennel, green beans, almonds and onion wedges with lemon and thyme and carrots and parsnips with rosemary. Of course, the sweet potatoes have a little shot of bourbon, and for the kids the infamous green bean casserole is on hand with the can of onion rings standing by. Wish all could be here to enjoy the feast along with family and friends.

Tomorrow for breakfast we are having our own version of leftovers. We are making Smoked Turkey and Bacon Eggs Benedict over a muffin with arugula and sliced tomato, and of course, topped with our own Hollandiase Sauce. Can hardly wait -- and haven't even had dinner yet. We will serve it with pear and cranberry chutney and that American staple -- Banana Walnut Bread.

Working on plans for New Year's Eve. Hope we will have a lot of visitors to partake in our New Year's Eve hors d'oeuvre party, Chatham's First Night and brunch on New Year's Day. The filet mignon will be roasted after coated with olive oil, raw sugar, and salt and pepper. Delish!

Have a great rest of the day with your families and friends!
