Off-Season Rates Begin October 12th -- Celebrate by Attending Wellfleet Oyster Fest 2010

I know Trip Advisor said that Cape Cod is the number 1 destination for Labor Day travel -- but any trip to Cape Cod is a NUMBER 1 TRIP. This coming weekend, September 15th through 17th is the Wellfleet Oyster Festival. Come on down and enjoy the fun. Wellfleet becomes an oyster lover's paradise. Last year over 150,000 oysters were served -- not to mention the pounds of lobster that were also consumed.

If you are a runner, enter the 5K race from Mayo Beach to Chequesette Golf Club and back on Sunday beginning at 9 a.m. If you are one of the first 50 to enter, you will receive an Oyster Fest T-Shirt. There is also a Tennis Round Robin at Willy's Gym. Entrance fee is $25.

Other activities include all the happenings at the Main Street Festival -- craft booths, children's activities, oyster shucking booths, and a huge tent with live music, oyster memorabilia, clothes, and be one of the first to own The Joy of Shucking. Watch the great Oyster Shuck Off and see who will shuck the most oysters and win the $1000 first place prize.

Check out the website for other activities -- rain or shine -- http://www.wellfleetoysterfest.org/
Make your reservations today at the Whalewalk Inn & Spa to enjoy a fun filled weekend and also have a romantic place to stay when you return from the festivities. Book on-line or call us at 508-255-0617.
